  • Deniz van Gennip (1987) is a BASI Pilates Certified Instructor, PSSE Schroth Certified Therapist for Scoliosis, Scolio-Pilates Certified Instructor & Pre & Post-natal Pilates Instructor Certified by BASI Pilates. She has been teaching Pilates since 2015.

    She has a BA Degree in Psychology & Contemporary Dance.

    Scoliosis, Pregnancy and Osteoporosis are conditions that she specialized in teaching. Dancers and Athletes also works with her to rehabilitate and improve their performance.

    She helped clients with various physical issues such as back pain, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, disk issues, knee pain & plantar fasciitis. All benefited from the method positively.

    Clients from all walks of life works with her to stay in shape, improve strength, control, balance, stability, mobility & flexibility through Pilates.

  • Hi! I’m Alex and I grew up in the breathtaking Swiss mountains. I’ve always had a passion for outdoor activities, especially trail running, until an injury forced me to pause that chapter.

    Moving to Amsterdam four years ago brought new opportunities, and it was during this time that

    I decided to give Pilates a try. At first, I was skeptical about Pilates as a discipline, thinking it wouldn’t be challenging enough in terms of physical activity nor helpful with my recovery. Saying I was wrong would be an understatement!

    Pilates has completely transformed my body and mindset. Not only have I gained strength and mobility, but I’ve also discovered a new level of physical fitness. It has elevated my performance in running and other disciplines, allowing me to feel stronger and more in shape than ever, all while significantly building capacity for injury prevention.

    Two years ago, I decided to deepen my understanding of this practice by pursuing the BASI certification to become a Pilates teacher. I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and experiences with others who are looking to enhance their sports performance, injury recovery time, or simply find a sense of well-being. Now I teach private and group classes alongside my full-time job in the sports industry, and I find it incredibly rewarding to support others on their fitness journeys.
